I was born and bred in the great but imperfect USA. I'm as old as the universe and young as the new day. I did not volunteer for the U.S. govt. secret LSD clinical experiments of the 1950's & 1960's. I did not fight in the Vietnam War. I did not fight in Desert Storm I or Desert Storm 2 or whatever you call the second cockamammy Iraq war. I was not outside the cave at Tora Bora. I never climbed Mt. Everest but If I did go I'd a least try to pick up the dying fallen and try to help them down rather then jerking off at the top and telling myself how great I am to make it to the top. I'd much rather save a life then go to the top of any mountain. Or maybe I would have spent my time there picking up other people's garbage. As an environmental activist/nature lover I believe old trees should be protected from indiscriminate harvesting even on private land and harvesting old trees should be regulated by governments world wide especially trees near waterways. You should need a permit and a very good reason to kill one of the most beautiful and important aspects of nature. I'm an Artist/Photographer/Writer/Poet who is fascinated by the idea of evolution and consider it a beautiful thing. I take pride in knowing I'm related to all known life on earth it seems even worms. Anyone who can't see they are related to apes and monkeys is perhaps more closely related to the jackass. I do not believe in or take part in organized religions althought I study religions and their place and importance in culture. Most of all I believe in the sacred nature of the Earth. I believe all rivers and streams are sacred and nature should be looked on with respect & awe. We should always be learning from nature otherwise our minds are in jeopardy of becoming a murky backwater of trivial importance. The Earth is a sacred place. It is truly the great university. We should seek to protect it from our species destructive short sighted greedy nature. Man shouldn't be a parasitoid. I will never forget seeing that mirror in the gorilla house of The Bronx Zoo in New York City when I was a kid. Below it a sign read..you are looking at the most dangerous creature on earth. I still get chills thinking about it for I was looking at myself! Charles Darwin your the man.
